This month, I am  sharing posts that have blessed me in preparation for the upcoming holidays.

I hope you love them, too.

sheet music ornaments

Jennifer at Simblissity Cottage shares a great tutorial for making Christmas ornaments from the sheet music of old hymnals. I absolutely love crafts like this and can’t wait to make some of these gorgeous creations myself.

what is advent

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church where Advent was not celebrated. I had never even heard of such a celebration until I was an adult. It seems that celebrating Advent has become more mainstream in Protestant churches and for that I am thankful. It is one of my favorite times of the year. Candace at His Mercy Is New shares a lovely collection of Advent resources.

I might be a little bit obsess with homemade Christmas ornaments, but I’m okay with that. Here’s another gorgeous ornament tutorial from my friend, Debbie at The Architect and The Artist, based on Ann Voskamp’s book, The Greatest Gift.

pumpkin craft

Annie over at the Moffat Girls shares this adorable thankful pumpkin craft for Thanksgiving. I love these as much as the Christmas ornament above because of all of the messages of thanks. And honestly, why couldn’t you just combine holidays and put these on the Christmas tree, too?

pumpkin pie

It would be the holidays without at least one recipe, right? My friend Wendy over at Hip Homeschool Moms shares her Grandmother’s pumpkin pie recipe. Any recipe that starts with Grandmother and ends with pie will likely be a favorite for me!
