Congrats to Jacquelin — winner of The Christian Parenting Handbook giveaway!

In just over a week, Ben and I will be traveling to Nashville to attend the  Teach Them Diligently Convention (TTD)! We are both very excited. Ben is excited to get to hang out with friends we only get to see maybe once or twice a year (I’m excited about this, too). He’s also excited to get to shop in the vendor hall. He’s been saving money from doing extra chores around the house and has his eye on a knight’s helmet.
I’m excited to shop the vendor hall, too. And this year, I might just have some extra cash to spend due to the generosity of the National Center for Biblical Parenting (NCBP).
Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN On Parenting
I will be representing this amazing company at the conference, and in return, they’re easing the financial burden of traveling to another state to attend my favorite homeschool conference for me. It’s a win-win situation for both of us.
You may have seen a mention or two of the latest publication from the NCBP — The Christian Parenting Handbook — on my blog recently. I’ve been talking about it for weeks now and shared my review of the book last week. It is because of my heartfelt appreciation for what this ministry does and the incredible resources they make available to parents that led me to want to partner with them for TTD. The Christian Parenting Handbook and it’s Companion Guide are just the tip of the iceberg for what they offer.
The Christian Parenting Handbook has been so life-changing for me and I want one of you to have a copy. So leave me a comment below (with your email address), by 6PM ET on Sunday, May 12. I’ll randomly choose someone to give it to later that evening.

Before I share with you some of their offerings, let me start by sharing their mission. Because it is their mission that first attracted me and makes their sponsorship so special for TTD.

“We’re on a mission to help parents understand how to implement a heart-based approach to parenting. Furthermore, we’re eager to help the church develop an environment that supports them. We have a passion to empower parents to pass the faith on to their kids and to mobilize churches to equip them.

All you have to do is look at the tagline for TTD to see how well these two companies mesh:

Christian Homeschool — Discipleship — Parenting

Now, let me tell you a little more about the NCBP by sharing the 3 Divisions that make up their ministry:
  • The Parent Division provides hands on practical tools for parents. You’ll find email parenting tips, books, audio teaching, and children’s curriculum to help you work with your children.
  • The Church Division helps churches develop parenting ministries with DVD training programs, over 90 presenters around the country to do live parenting seminars, and many other resources to equip parents.
  • Biblical Parenting University is an online training program for churches, Christian schools, and parents. With a site license, teachers can access free classroom management courses to learn ways to use a heart-based approach in the classroom. Parents find encouragement and tools to help in their parenting. All the classes are Internet-based and broken into small segments to make them easily accessible and convenient.

Visit their store to find all of these bible-based resources for your family.

A heartfelt thank you to the National Center for Biblical Parenting and Teach Them Diligently, for partnering with me in parenting and homeschooling. And for everything you do to help parents disciple their children.
Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to receive a copy of The Christian Parenting Handbook
